The Dogs Definitely Understood the Assignment.
There’s no better way to kick off spooky season in North Idaho than with a whole lot of dogs in costumes.
We had so much fun photographing the annual Sit Means Sit Dog-O-Ween in Post Falls, where local dogs and their people came together for an afternoon of Halloween fun, K-9 demonstrations, and plenty of four-legged mischief.
The dogs showed up ready to celebrate, and the costume game did not disappoint.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office joined the fun with police K-9 Spike, giving everyone a chance to meet one of the hardworking dogs behind the badge.
We also got to watch local legend Killua show off some serious skills with a demonstration on how to retrieve a bite sleeve. Let’s just say there was no mistaking who was in charge of that sleeve.
Between the costumes, K-9 demonstrations, good dogs, and plenty of Halloween fun, it was a pretty great way to start the spooky season in Post Falls.
And, of course, I brought my camera.
