Diverse Scenery for Beautiful & Dynamic Photos
One of the things that makes Tubbs Hill so special is the variety of terrain packed into a relatively small area. If you love the idea of playful beach shots, the sandy shores and crystal-clear water of Lake Coeur d’Alene provide the perfect spot for splashing, running, and digging in the sand.
For something more adventurous and rugged, the rocky outcroppings offer dramatic scenery that makes for striking, artistic portraits of your dog.
With so many different backdrops within a short distance, Tubbs Hill allows us to create a stunning, varied gallery of images that truly capture your dog’s personality and spirit.
Easy Access for Visitors & Locals Alike
One of the biggest perks of Tubbs Hill is its convenience—you don’t have to travel far to feel immersed in nature. Located right in the heart of downtown Coeur d'Alene, it’s within walking distance of the resort, restaurants, and shops, making it an ideal location for visitors who want a pet-friendly adventure and beautiful vacation photos.
Things To Keep In Mind
-
Very Touristy Location
-
Expect crowds, especially on weekends and during the summer months during tourist season. If your dog is easily distracted or reactive, this may not be the best fit.
-
Narrow & Rugged Trails
-
While not extremely difficult, some parts of the trail are steep and uneven, making it less suitable for senior pets or people with mobility concerns. Trails which lead down to the water are exceptionally steep.
-
Close Quarters with Other Hikers & Dogs
-
The narrow trails can make passing people tricky, especially if your dog is nervous around other dogs or not well-socialized. Or if you prefer a more private photo experience. Especially during the busier seasons, we'll likely have to navigate around and share space with other visitors.
